Good Day!
From the start of our efforts in January, I have made it a priority to be as open and transparent with you as possible.
Effective this date, we are closing registrations to our live event, both the 5K and Half. There are several reasons for this.
First, we are all hopeful there are more easements of the Health Order restrictions. We have several models in play to try and pull the event off, but allowing the size of the event to grow won’t help us try and make something work. IF things change, we will re-open it.
We will decide ideally by April 2 if the live event is going to proceed. For those registered for the live, you will still receive all your gear at the kit pick up IF we have to cancel. We will still invite all participants to share their results and photos on our Facebook page.
The virtual event will stay open and is a great way to secure a medal for the event to keep a spring race goal in place.
We are very grateful for your support and no matter how this spring goes, the Foodfare-WPS Half Marathon will live to fight another day in 2022.
